1. Oh my sorrow, my life was wasted in laziness
And in acquiring sins and mistakes

2. And in debauchery and in falsehood and in play
And in arrogance and in conceit and in evils

3. And in hypocrisy and in pride and in greediness
And in pretentiousness, boasting and ostentation

4. And in betrayal, deceit, insistence
And in treachery with cunning and plotting

5. And in deception and wrongdoing with envy
And hatred and even gloating and enmities

6. And in suspicion and ill thoughts with hope
And fear of poverty, stinginess and cruelties

7. And in backbiting and in insults and in lies
And in meddling and in bad words

8. And in eating illegitimately without fear or contentment
And in looking at foreign women

9. And in listening to obscene words
And everything that does not concern me comes to me

10. And in abandoning enjoinment of right without reason
And abandoning forbidding atrocious wrongdoings

11. And in committing major great sins
With lengthy wide claims

12. Oh Lord, Oh Lord, Oh Beneficent, Oh Eternal
Forgive Your servant his many heavy burdens

13. Out of grace, favor and kindness and gift
Generosity and righteousness for his past and future

14. This is my good assumption of the Good Doer
How can it not be when He grants all good things

15. So many, so many are the gifts You have granted without cause
And so many gates of gifts have You opened

16. Glory to You, Most Generous, Great Bestower
Through whom I attain ease and hardship

17. I have no power or strength ever
I refused my supplications and means and tricks

18. And I seek forgiveness from God for all sins
And for all my good and evil deeds

19. And a thousand prayers upon the Chosen One followed by
A thousand greetings, the ink of the sea repeated

20. And upon his family and companions and then their followers
Every day numerous like the motes of sand

21. And praise be to Allah Lord of all Worlds for
All His past and future favors
