1. Relief came once unexpectedly
Relief came all mercy from the Merciful

2. Relief came urgently from the Benevolent, graciously
And kindly from our Lord the Tender

3. So praise be to You, O Lord, Ever-Merciful, how much
My Lord sufficed me from an envious enemy

4. And how much He sufficed the hostile with His bounty, conspicuous
And covers disobedience

5. He hides our ugliness, lies and slander, we ask You
O Concealer, as You have concealed now

6. To perpetuate this generosity, O Most Generous, O Refuge
Of grace, and the second I advise you, O human

7. Take from the sciences of religion something supreme
And act upon it to be saved tomorrow from the fires

8. And walk to your Lord the walk of beneficence
And seek lawful livelihood and clothing for the body

9. And again I advise you, beware of raving
And leave all people, forget them and the jinn

10. And be a companion of God in remembrance and the Quran
And be of sound mind from all else

11. And be silent and still
In these times

12. Times that are all tyranny, manifold tribulations in it
Goodness in it is stagnant, they see it as loss

13. And evil in it the hypocrite sells by weight, so avoid
And retreat far from them both

14. And be concerned with what concerns you inwardly and outwardly
You'll be praised when dying and shrouded

15. O Protector protect us and protect faith for us
And forgive us burdens, slander and disobedience

16. And conclude for us with good at the end of times
By the blessing of the Guide, the master of `Adnan's sons

17. Upon him Allah's prayers and upon his family and companions
With Allah's greetings as long as caravans travelled

18. And praise be to Allah, the One, the Merciful
