1. Poor poor soul who nears the slaughter
Death’s abode and burial now faster

2. Not knowing what his fate or forecast
Yet heedless wanders not the master

3. Deaf to advice and warning disaster
Desires flooding reason’s dam now past her

4. Wasting life on things without luster
Asking God’s great mercy hereafter

5. With repentance true externally, internally
Erasing all secrets and things overt

6. Grace is vast, Allah’s pardon greater still
Generosity overflowing, my share fulfill

7. Grant life a goodly ending and posterity
Spare us judgment day and its austerity

8. And pardon in this life and the next verily
For me, my loved ones, people of my vicinity
