1. I entrusted my affair to the One who knows my state well
God is my Master, of great endless grace

2. The Creator, the Sustainer, the Giver, the Rich, the Generous
The One, the Glorious, the Enricher, the Praiseworthy, the Merciful

3. The Withholder, the Expander, the Giver of Life, the Causer of Death, the Forbearing
The Bestower, the Able, the Lord, the Majestic, the Great

4. O Unique, O Ever-Living, O Eternal, You are the Ancient
The First, the Last, the Enumerator, the Restorer, the All-Wise

5. I beseech You, I beseech You, standing obedient at the door
I have none but Your everlasting noble face as my leader

6. I am the miserable slave, the worthless, the despised
With wicked deeds, words, and state, the blamable, the insulted

7. Neither my body is sound, nor my heart safe and healthy
I have wronged myself, and my heart is sick from my sins

8. I have strayed very far from the straight right path
Will You still see me, my Beloved, thereafter set right?

9. And I return to God and disgrace the accursed devil
How long have I wandered lost in transgressions and disobedience

10. Yet I never longed for the Abode of Eternity, the Abode of Bliss
Nor felt awe of the torment of Hellfire

11. O Lord, O Lord, O Restorer of decayed bones
Revive my heart and seal it with the best ending

12. Send blessings and peace whenever the breeze blows
Upon the Prophet who came to us with the Great Quran
