1. O Gentle One who cares for me in all my states
O Great One in bounty, O Kind Protector

2. O Continuous Giver of successive favors
O Rich One, O Bestower, ever bountiful

3. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

4. I complain of my sin and great burdens
And worries that have gathered from evils and the wicked

5. So remove, remove my distress
O Powerful One, O Creator

6. And grant me my request
In all my states

7. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

8. My Lord, I am utterly distressed though no fault of my earning
I repent a repentance that erases all sin

9. And relieves my worry and illuminates my heart
And by it reforms my intention and my deeds

10. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

11. O Powerful One, You foiled the plan of the People of the Elephant
Destroying them with birds bearing stones of clay

12. So take example of how their plot ended in ruin
We ask You to protect us from a hateful fate

13. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

14. Lord, safe, safe is the call of the Glorious One
When he saw Hell and severe fatigue

15. And the Path stretched over it, delineated
O Peace, O Safety from the evils of my deeds

16. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

17. And here is a Path we are obliged to cross
Steep, narrow, how can I cross it?

18. In an age dark, whose evils abound
Lord, direct me right and guard me from straying

19. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

20. I hope for none but You O Exalted O Ever-Present
O Abundant in Kindness, O God Worshipped

21. O One, O Bestower, O Eternal, O Desired
Bestow on us all good and spare us every terror

22. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states

23. May the eternal prayers and peace
Envelop the Guiding Prophet

24. And his Companions and Family whether asleep or awake
Or a devout one rising to the Most High Station

25. O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
