1. Let the decrees take their course, do not resist them,
For whoever resists fate is overcome.

2. Verily, destiny is a sword that cannot be withstood
By any creature, except by the beloved.

3. Walk slowly with fate and be patient,
For whoever dislikes fate is wretched.

4. Submit and entrust to God’s judgment as ordained,
For the matter is predetermined and recorded.

5. God decrees as He wills and however He wants,
While the servant is a slave, a creation and dependent.

6. His Lord the Merciful has never ceased
Enveloping him with kindness, protection and company.

7. Have good thoughts of the Generous Lord and do not
Suspect Him, lest you remain deprived of Him.

8. And work for yourself deeds you will not be sorry for,
Since all man’s actions are recorded.

9. If it is good, then good shall he reap,
Or if evil, then chastisement and torment.

10. Woe to him who wastes his deeds in mistakes!
And to him whose gains are sins and pits!

11. Seek the most high sanctioned by action,
For you are required to have knowledge and deeds.

12. And beware your time, for it is an age
Where forbidden things have spread and faults.

13. So be lonely and unique, still and cautious,
For in it are lies and false tales.

14. Injustice is rampant without blame or condemnation,
And the poor are threatened and terrorized.

15. So make your home your sitting place not leaving it
Except for something sanctioned by law.

16. And always remember your Lord forever,
For remembrance is paired and accompanied by remembrance.

17. And when one remembers God, He visits him.
So sit with God and gifts will come to you.

18. And ask God for all that you need,
For bounty and requests are with Him.

19. Ask only the Benevolent, our Creator,
For grace and favor are poured out from Him.

20. And be steadfast at His door in all that the self needs,
For to forget Him, my friend, is a pit.

21. And hold firmly to the rope of God,
For any rope other than His is cut off.

22. And follow the Sunna of the Guide and you will succeed,
And among them you will be pleased and in the end loved.

23. For in following the Prophet lies all good,
And one who follows their way is attributed with good.
