1. O seekers of happiness, knowledge, and worship,
Seek it diligently, increase your effort.

2. My Lord gives to whoever asks Him,
Beyond his hopes and desires.

3. So seek knowledge abundantly,
Its virtue is beyond any degree.

4. And leave gossip and backbiting,
That ruin worship.

5. Wretched is the slave who wastes his life,
In idleness and nonsense,

6. And vileness and meanness,
Not waking from his corruption.

7. He does not remember his death and grave, he did not prepare for his return.
He did not praise his Exalted Lord, the One who increases his praise.

8. O ignorant one, O passionate one,
No one wakes you from your slumber.

9. If I advise or preach to him,
He does not turn back from his stubbornness.

10. He will lose, he will regret,
When he becomes ashes.

11. He will lament when he steps forward,
And sees the burning of his heart.

12. While he is in his grave a corpse,
With no bedding or pillow.

13. Where are his fine clothes and dress?
Where are those necklaces?

14. Where is his splendor and adornment?
Where is his power and strength?

15. Where are his family and children?
Who will free him from his ties?

16. The life of this world has left him,
He has taken none of it, not even a locust.

17. He has taken with him nothing,
Except the evil he has committed.

18. O my children, my daughters,
Where are those who seek leadership?

19. Where is the speech of the eminent ones?
Those who lead the people to good?

20. Where are those who love Paradise,
With no way for it to end?

21. So listen to me and pay attention,
And memorize, memorizing benefits.

22. You will be thanked if you act,
And take to reliance.

23. Do every good persistently,
And leave every habit.

24. And seek the pleasure of my Lord,
In private and in public.

25. And leave the people and their ways,
Therein you will attain happiness.

26. And remember Allah abundantly,
For the one who remembers is given increase.

27. Remembering in every state,
That one attains intimacy.

28. So thank Allah and praise Him,
O seekers of increase.

29. And whoever forgets Him will be forgotten,
Deceived by the cunning of Iblis.

30. Remembering Allah is everlasting,
Everything other than Allah's remembrance ends.

31. And contentment is the best wealth,
Blessed is he who is ascetic with his wealth.

32. He covets not, he steals not,
He fears no corruption from him.

33. And strive as long as you live,
Blessed is he whose concern is striving.

34. And attain the knowledge of religion,
For your salvation and benefit.

35. So worship, having awakened,
Then roll up your sleeves for guidance.

36. And rely upon Allah,
And to Allah is the dependence.

37. O bliss, O beloved, if you conclude with martyrdom.
O Bountiful, O Merciful, O Gentle to your worshipers.

38. Grant us tremendous grace,
Beyond count and number.

39. And correct the heart and remove
Its corruption and darkness.

40. And conclude my life with good,
At its ending and harvest.

41. And may the prayers of my Lord,
Descend on the happy ones.

42. Covering the best of His creation,
And His worshipers in every land.
