1. People are a deep sea, and distance from them is a ship
And I advised you, so look after your poor self

2. So I said, complementing the two, even if you are not like them
For their sea is an evil that hides afflictions within

3. In it are fierce crocodiles and how many fat snakes
So flee from them, fleeing

4. For distance is an impregnable fortress
In it are fine thoughts

5. With valuable sentiments
From every mention and thought

6. With guidance and tranquility
And kindness with all things

7. That help sustain life
And leaving bad habits

8. In which is evil and rejection
And it is laden with every affliction and all poverty

9. Beware of it, beware before an impending ordeal
And take an even path

10. On the clear way
A way not bent

11. White, good, beautiful
