1. O people of sound minds, peace be upon you, and people of enlightened hearts,
Say with determined resolve, and with truthful, steadfast intention,

2. "O Allah, with a good end."
For it is the ultimate goal, as the people of prohibition have said.

3. O Allah, with it, O Allah, with it,
A wondrous, perfect supplication.

4. O Allah, with a good end.
O our Lord, O our Lord, be gentle with us and forgive us,

5. And conclude our life with goodness,
During the time of trials.

6. O Allah, with a good end.
For death is coming soon, each has a share of it.

7. Whether one is close or distant,
It is a general affliction.

8. O Allah, with a good end.
Then when you die, they will wash you, enshroud you,

9. Escort you, and bury you,
And you will become a lifeless corpse.

10. O Allah, with a good end.
O Lord, be my supporter, when the forehead's bone decays,

11. And let me conclude with certainty,
Before the blame of the critic.

12. O Allah, with a good end.
This world is not for settlement, rather it is for passage.

13. So ponder and reflect attentively,
And do not be like the despairing.

14. O Allah, with a good end.
O Lord, we have no deeds or earnings, all our work is lapse,

15. But in You we have hope,
That revives the decaying bones.

16. O Allah, with a good end.
The time of departure has come, and life has passed in misguidance,

17. But we hope in the Majestic One,
By the station of the father of Fatima.

18. To bless us with a good end.
