1. O son of chastity, O Shihāb al-Dīn O Ahmad
When fate befell you, thank and praise only Him

2. Be well-mannered, for manners best befit slaves
And are most praiseworthy

3. And submit to fate and destiny
So you may be rewarded and praised

4. Entrust and even submit, be a believer and Muslim
And be a learned teacher

5. And be one who praises and thanks
The Lord of the Supreme Throne

6. For what has passed or will come
So you may be called Muhammad

7. O Ahmad do not fret over letters
For fretting over fate's decrees brings troubles

8. This world and its affairs are wondrous things
Happy is he who wonders at its marvels

9. Happy is he who takes from it
Provision, remembrance, reflection and patience

10. O blessed is he who has renounced it
And renounced and avoided it

11. And worshipped God through obedience
Say, O Lord, O Lord

12. Grant me integrity
For integrity brings us greatest honor

13. Through it we attain happiness in the Abode of Eternity
Dwelling alongside the Prophet Mustafa

14. The guiding Muhammad
And repent and return, and aspire and be devout

15. Going to the Merciful Lord
He who aims for the Glorious Lord

16. Will attain all he seeks in this life and the next
And be of open chest and enlightened heart

17. Free of all impurities, pure and purifying
Complete, righteous, detached and manifest

18. Constantly invoking God, detached from all else
Forsaking all creation, cutting off all ties

19. Realizing the Realities
That you may be granted such a heart

20. To find happiness and guidance
In this life and on the Day

21. When all limbs will testify
And we will all ask our Lord

22. For a good end
And to follow the best of mankind

23. And gather us and loved ones in the Abode of Peace
O happy is he who dwells therein eternally

24. May God allow us to attain His pleasure through it
And we look to none but God

25. For God's bounty is endless
And His generosity inexhaustible

26. Exalted, unequaled in His glory
By the station of Mustafa, best of God's creation

27. Who will intercede for all people
On Judgement Day

28. God's blessings and peace be upon him
As long as the stars shine bright

29. Along with his noble Family and great Companions
Let us always repeat his glory

30. Abundant, without end
To the Lord who has blessed us

31. With favors beyond measure
