1. Ahmad Al-Saqaf, if you want union
And to attain the heights now and forever

2. Thank God throughout time
For all the bitterness and trials you encounter

3. And know that all good lies in contentment
While discontent is the worst trait

4. And fear God for in piety lies
Every good, as sought by men

5. And seek knowledge for in it lies guidance
And through it you will be saved from all misguidance

6. Your blessings are like vinegar which has no equal
It guides the vinegar to the best of vinegars

7. And act with knowledge to be called learned
And through it you will be happy and reach perfection

8. The fruits of knowledge are acts of piety
Without them, it is an argument and affliction

9. And beware arrogance and its sisters
Which nullify deeds and warrant retribution

10. And leave people and turn away from them for
In these times, isolation is incumbent upon you

11. Do not socialize, O youth, except for
What you cannot live without of religion and money

12. And beware habits, do not go near them
For they are a lethal poison of incurable disease

13. And leave this world, do not seek it
Except to cover your condition with lawful money

14. And make the most of your life before demise
And benefit from health before incapacity

15. Correct your intention before the deed
For the intention is the spirit of actions

16. And purify your deeds, intending nothing
But the Lord, the Great and Exalted

17. And be humble and overlook all others
And earn goodness for many long days

18. And follow the guidance of the Prophet
In belief, deed, and speech

19. Take it, act by it, and tread its path
All else is misguidance

20. And be gentle, do not substitute it
For through it, good is attained

21. And beware roughness and the like
For it stirs up arguments like violence does

22. Sit with the reasonable and gain wisdom from them
Judgements have surpassed those of precious pearls

23. Good morals allow one to live in peace
Safe from the enmity of men

24. Broaden your mind and lengthen it, for one
With an apt disposition has won abundant good

25. And know time, be vigilant, and do not
Neglect wisdom, lest you fall into traps

26. What a person has tasted or seen suffices them
If they are reasonable

27. And remember the Beneficent, and He will remember you
And in remembering Him lies a planted tree you will find in the end

28. There is no savior for us from God's torment
Except remembering the Supreme Lord of Majesty

29. Prayer is the best position conveyed
From the Messenger of God with an exalted line of transmission

30. And guard your words, for the keeper of all
In Hellfire are nothing but vile words

31. So stay silent, do not say anything but
Good words from which attainment is hoped

32. And remember death, perhaps you will act for it
A deed that will save you on the Day of Reckoning

33. And shorten your hopes, do not extend them
For a day will come to you, no doubt

34. And ask the Beneficent constantly forever
And humble yourself in supplication and petition

35. And poverty, humility, and constant
Lowliness to the Almighty Lord of Majesty and Beauty

36. Our Lord, O our Lord, forgive our sins
And pardon our heavy burdens of sin

37. And reform the heart so all our affairs may be reformed
Worldly and of the Hereafter in perfection

38. For my heart has been laid bare by illness
And distracted from seeking good and wealth

39. Bestow upon us perfect abundant light and intellect
To attain through it the highest degrees

40. And protect us from wrongdoing and distance us from passions
And make piety our nourishment and fresh water

41. O Lord, make us steadfast on the religion of the Prophet
The best of Your creations, Ahmad, master of Bilal

42. May God's prayers and peace be upon him, enveloping
The Prophets, companions, and family

43. And may God's peace be upon every soul
As numerous as breaths, as long as there are nights

44. And to You belongs praise eternally, my God
As numerous as blessings and however long beauty lasts

45. And invoke blessings upon Ahmad, perhaps Ahmad tomorrow
A day in which neither wealth nor family will avail

46. Except one who comes with a pure
And unblemished heart, thus said the Exalted
