1. O healer of hearts, my heart is sick
O my guide, I have no guide but you

2. O my savior, my refuge, my helper
You are sufficient for me, and an excellent trustee

3. You know the state of my heart more than I do
You are the best supporter, the best guarantor

4. Reform this state, beautify this state, and conceal
O You whose favor upon us is abundant

5. You have concealed the ugly out of favor, and shown
The beautiful, for none is beautiful but You

6. My trait is shortcoming and wrongdoing, my description
Is incapacity - I do not lean towards fault

7. So conceal all my faults, and have mercy on me
Before the wailing of lamentation appears

8. Lord, (I repent) a sincere repentance, a pure repentance
Yearning for Your nearness, hoping for acceptance

9. Before a day comes where I am straitened in deception
How can I attain deliverance, how can I find a way?

10. Every state of it is fearful, tremendous
Every friend flees from it, every companion

11. O my God, help me, I am poor
Debased, disgraced, and my sin is heavy

12. My back is weighed down with sins, and I have
No helper but the All-Forgiving, the Sublime

13. I have none but Him, and without Him I have
No substitute, exalted is He, there is no alternative

14. I have despaired of creatures altogether
And turned to You, fallen, humiliated

15. So forgive me, incline toward me, treat me kindly
And overlook my scattered state

16. And conclude my life, O my God, with good
When our return and departure comes

17. Pardon me, grant me well-being, absolve me
Say: "I accept his repentance, I will guarantee him"

18. O Lord, I have wronged myself extensively
My tyranny has no equal among mankind

19. I have transgressed, and not confessed, and even if
I confessed among people, it would have no equal

20. In humility, submission, awe,
Brokenness, and flowing tears

21. And abstention from people, and leaving
What distracts or preoccupies you from them

22. And avoidance of any virtuous deed
And striving for what dispels misdeeds

23. Perhaps a gracious glance and noble pardon
Not for my deeds, for my deeds are few

24. And prayers and peace upon the Prophet
For as long as the clouds drizzle and trees stand tall

25. And upon his noble family and companions
The masters whose glory is authentic and proven

26. And to You belongs all praise, O my God, praise
That cannot be limited or comprehended in speech
