1. Oh my friend, my chest is tight
With what is happening in these times

2. Deeds, words, and things
I've come to know, and things I do not know

3. Matters that leave reason confused
Intoxicated without wine

4. So turn away from them and flee
To the One with great eminence and power

5. God of creation, giver of gifts
Great in bounty, mender of all affairs

6. My God, my Creator, my Lord, my savior
My friend when I'm laid in the grave

7. I've raised my needs and poverty to Him
And complained of my state and harm

8. And I hope my Creator will favor me
With my wants, my life, and my resurrection

9. My God, do not disappoint me, for I admit
I have wasted my life

10. On vain play and amusement
That caused every loss

11. So pardon, and pardon, and pardon
And kindness, and clemency for the penitent

12. Grant me repentance from every sin
That will mend my heart and expand my chest

13. And bless my ending and my loved ones
And all the Muslims in every land

14. For the sake of the Chosen One, best of creations
I thank and praise Him for disbelief

15. Upon him God pray and peace
As many as the wind blows and villages lament
