1. Praise be to God, this is my question and my hope
It came to me without toil or work

2. The harbinger brought news that my brother remembers me
And makes excuses for me, prays for me, intercedes for me

3. So oh Hussein whose trait is beneficence
Do good for the faulty, whose flaws are apparent

4. Perhaps, perhaps, and maybe God will have mercy on him
And remove from him all vice and defects

5. May he repent a true repentance, never to turn back
Erasing thereby all burdens and mistakes

6. For his life passed in vain chatter, and now
The time of departure to the next world comes swiftly

7. What is my excuse, when the warner came yet I
Did not heed, persisting in laziness?

8. So say, when you circumambulate the Ancient House, and in
The abodes of good in detail and in general:

9. O Lord, we ask You to grant pleasure and approval
To our poor servant, and for him the finest gifts

10. And bless, O my Lord, and bestow peace always and forever
Upon Your Messenger Taha, Seal of Prophets

11. And upon his family and companions as long as pilgrims
Hasten and take their time to the Ancient House
