1. My Lord, do not disappoint the hopes of the poor,
The abject slaves who seek refuge in Your tears,

2. Of all that ails them You are fully aware,
So rectify my affairs and heal what lies between my ribs,

3. My Lord rectify my heart and grant me more than I hope for,
You are the Most Generous Lord,

4. While I am the seeker, not the earner,
And upon the goodness from my Lord I depend.
