1. In your name, my Lord, I begin
Both my opening and my end

2. And to you belongs all praise, my Master
Countless are your bounties

3. And blessings upon the Prophet
Through him, wishes are fulfilled

4. Beware, beware my brother, do not
Follow the creed of the wicked

5. To them, the monotheist
Is one who eats the unlawful

6. And one who hurts people
And one who strips the generous of dignity

7. But follow the way of the Prophet Ahmad
The master of all mankind

8. And after him, his companions
Your gracious and merciful leaders

9. And those who walked their path
Be they guardians or imams

10. To them, the monotheist
Is a steadfast, faithful Muslim

11. Who worships Allah alone
Unconcerned with anything else

12. He sees none but his Lord
Lost in Him eternally

13. Then after annihilation, he attains
Stations far beyond this

14. His sole concern is Allah
Enraptured by love for Him

15. Everything he sees or hears
Increases his passion

16. He remembers Allah always
Whether sitting or standing

17. With his tongue and his essence
Having abandoned all comforts

18. He commands people to be pious
To pray, fast, pay alms

19. To perform Hajj, have affection
And unite with one another

20. To show mercy, keep ties
And remain connected to kin

21. And all good deeds
And forbid trespassing

22. All shameful and sinful acts
Neither harsh nor hot-tempered

23. Wronging no one
People are safe from his harm

24. In deeds and in words
They hope for his goodness

25. Especially and generally
He gives sincere advice to all

26. Without violence or conflict
Seeking only to support truth and peace

27. This monotheist, there is none but him
Understand these words, O boy

28. The plight of religion has appeared
As foretold completely

29. Where is one who has mercy for strangers
And does the best of deeds

30. Supporting faith and its people
With tongue and sword?

31. Before I die in sorrow
And darkness overtakes me

32. My Lord and Master, have mercy on the weak mortal
O Guardian, O Peace

33. Grant us at our death
O Bountiful, the best end

34. And blessings upon the Prophet
And after him, the best peace

35. And upon all his family
And his noble companions

36. And every follower
Who perfectly emulates them

37. And to You belongs all praise
As long as the clouds and rain endure
