1. O Ali those who were not wished to die, have died
Those who their death gave life to the religion, have died

2. Those who were the safety of earth when alive, have died
They did not remain for the religion, so the religion is protected

3. If the Lord remembers them when they are seen
His remembrance of them brings down mercy when spoken of

4. Whoever resembles them, even if lowly, is fortunate
And look at them even once when they pass

5. If you think well of them, you have not thought wrong
Or if one thinks ill of them, he is a deluded servant

6. Whoever opposes them, whoever exists in the universe fights him
All who love them are counted among them when enumerated

7. Or sat in their company, his sitting is with remembrance recited
For him is forgiveness along with them, so it has been narrated

8. Would that I were with them or near them when they supplicate
Blessed is he who is with them, enraptured with his Master

9. He has become through them, his heart and mould pledged
The callers, the guides, the firmly rooted, the loving

10. Inheritors of the prophets in stored, concealed knowledge
Loving them with us is obligatory, not optional supererogatory

11. They are nothing but remedies for afflictions, removing them
They are the cures for every illness, healing

12. Whoever has any insight in loving them sees no difficulty
So listen to the mention of the Cave's dog when they recite

13. They benefit the world in everything, they do no harm
Do you see us seeing them, or pleased with us one day?

14. I do not think so, even if I did I would be mad
How would they be pleased when we passed our lives disobeying?

15. Our lives passed in heedlessness, praying forgetfully
Our Lord turn to us, I have come feeling regret

16. Seeking pardon, O He whose pardon is guaranteed
And forgive the sin, O He whose bounty is endless
