1. O Salim, if you want safety
Submit and surrender to peace

2. Do not object to face blame
Beware of encountering blame

3. And if you want to win honor
Befriend honorable people

4. The people of piety and righteousness
Whoever accompanies righteous people becomes righteous

5. Their love on Judgement Day
Will be with them at every rising

6. And take knowledge as your sign
Act and learn, O young man

7. With gentleness, you won't encounter regret
And you will be most receptive to words

8. And place upon your head a turban
Of love and passion

9. May we have some solace from it
To be happy amongst people

10. O success, whose light is before him
He strives with it when in darkness

11. And make your invocations like kohl
But the food of your heart and veins

12. And leave boredom and tedium
Rather, persist in invocation

13. In your travels and residences
Make it your drink and food

14. With it the young man achieves his hopes
And so many great honors

15. And fill your heart with safety
From all the blameworthy morals

16. You will arrive at the abode of honor
The abode of pleasure, the abode of peace

17. And remember your death and judgement
The day of sinking, the day of crowds

18. In it is the detailing of blame
And the disputes intensify

19. Oh woe to those with much vengeance
Who gained by forbidden deeds

20. The rational one stores his words
And is steadfast in preserving them

21. He guards and is safe from regret
Rejoices when the time of rest comes

22. Continuous prayers of my Lord
With never ending peace

23. Upon the Messenger in clouds
And his family and companions

24. The people of leadership and authority
And conclude for us the best conclusion

25. When the end of life comes
And forgive us all sins

26. And praise be to God in conclusion
