1. God is greater than the one whose affair is magnificent
He has grown old from the magnificence of that affair, still a lad

2. The comfort of Islam has become troubled
Silent in its place, no doubt, are the ears

3. An affliction that has silenced all of creation, for it
Palaces surely collapsed, breaking the heart

4. An affliction that has ripped open the intestines of mankind, for it
Neither the riding of a priest nor monk have pleased it

5. It has encompassed all of creation in its cycle, and it has become
For it, that which fate takes as title, a title

6. It has encompassed the horizons in its cycle, and cracked
Are the hearts of the people of prohibition, intimacy, and jinn

7. When the Messenger calls out, "My family has been wronged!"
Your sultan today, no sultan can subdue him

8. Yazid is your master, and al-Shimr your leader
To hell, so evil is the abode of fires

9. You take pride in killing self in mosques
And violating the sanctity of those who aid the truth

10. So what is your recompense on the Day of Requital tomorrow?
For you from God, banishment, then fires

11. On a day when neither money nor party will avail you
To protect you with strength and wrongdoing, neighbors

12. The Day of Requital, and the Messenger of God is your adversary
So what plea do you have in this, and what proof?

13. Woe to you, so prepare, you will come to account
On your faces, in it, humiliation and loss

14. This, while you have not desisted, and fate sings to you
A house whose pillars are gold and silver

15. What is this severing in Islam between you
While you, O servants of God, are brothers?
