1. Truth prevails and righteousness prospers
While falsehood perishes and corruption destroys

2. The oppressor's demise is disgraceful forever
Coming upon all evil that avenges

3. The wicked are struck down by blessings
That enrich the free and noble who thank

4. The Russian tyrants transgressed when deluded
By their numbers in the land and their arrogance

5. Their scheme almost recoiled upon their necks
So their heights were cut down without mercy

6. The aggressors know no restraint or prohibition
The unjust tyrants, the debauched and corrupt

7. They broke covenants, as was their habit
Evilly scheming, harboring ill intent

8. Until I saw their chiefs laid low
Depriving rights and hoarding wealth

9. Do they think the mighty Swedish state
And their Peter the late, can succeed?

10. No! Let them be deterred, then know
Their Lord avenges those who seek Him

11. O Muslims, verify if news reaches you
About the hostile Russians, and beware

12. Let not their great numbers deceive you
For truth is not harmed by the multitude

13. O believers! Jihaad, so hasten
Volunteering, that you may be rewarded

14. This is God's jihaad protecting your honor
Expend every resource that is stored

15. You will not attain righteousness unless you spend
From what you love - this proof is plain

16. And hold fast to the firm rope of beautiful
Patience in battle - be resolute

17. Glorifying and praising God will suffice you
Over making weapons that maim

18. Subdue them thus, and you will be victorious
Attack them, march on them, mobilize

19. Raid them on land and sea, amass forces
Horsemen and footmen, rout their camp

20. If you were but a band, they would not
Vanquish you - how then, when you are more?

21. Every warrior, if one day nations stand
Against him... will be destroyed

22. You are truly God's servants, so worship
The religion - through you it is mighty

23. Protect your principles, for guarding your faith
Is incumbent, with no delay

24. Be zealous for Islam until you raise
Its banners - you have cause to be proud

25. Let not church bells in your lands replace
The call to prayer - keep the minbar pure

26. And ring the drums of war in your regions
More rousing than any minstrel's song

27. To those who have long oppressed them
Your swords should drip their blood

28. If impurity and vileness have touched them
Waging war will rightly cleanse them

29. Patience is praised but when honor is
Violated, I see no cause to show restraint

30. No good in life bought through humiliation
God forbid you fail or compromise

31. God has witnessed He is your Master
And Helper - so praise Him and be bold

32. God has promised the mujaahid among you
Manifest victory in the Book - so rejoice

33. The martyrs will dwell in the best abode
Gardens of eternity, never to fade

34. War with them is a trial - stand fast
Victory will follow your order - be glad

35. Remember the people of Badr, that you
O people, may take heed and remember

36. Sacrifice to please your Lord and gain
His pleasure - then none can you blame

37. What contrast between one who volunteers
And one forced against his will to serve

38. Led and driven by a vicious, grim tyrant
Who can sell him to slavers if so moved

39. With his children and wife, without care
They know no honor preventing their vice

40. They greedily rush to sins, while people of
Virtue avoid even mentioning them

41. So too the tyrants, if you praise them at all
Will boast of any fame you confer

42. They rejoice, but the joy of the blest is in
Thanking their Lord, not merely preferring

43. Their vultures, though bloated, may yet
Be felled, and the crescent's light overwhelm

44. The corrupt will never prosper in life
Nor the insolent thrive - they are doomed

45. Have they not learned from those gone before
Who oppressed and were ruined, to their cost?

46. Or do they think themselves beyond God's reach
To aid His people if they but asked?

47. Or that He cannot send unseen armies
And appointed fates that confound and crush?

48. If a piercing wind caught their heedless sails
No blaze could consume it, nor growth reverse it

49. Or unleash devastating hordes of birds
To decimate them, leaving not one

50. God's true worshipers will never be conquered
By the heathen's "Thee alone we serve"

51. Whose sole purpose is to please God
Is virtuous indeed, and rightly guided

52. Who stops not his ears to his guardian's counsel
Embraces misguidance - warnings do not benefit

53. Whose blessings from his Lord made him
Arrogant and bold, betraying and cheating

54. Who is not content with his allotted rizq
Then grasping for more, is ever in loss

55. Who foolishly relies on armies, not God
Earns what he fears and what he dreads

56. Who thinks his might and weapons avail
Him and his tribes - he is deluded

57. Who fights the Omnipotent returns humbled,
Vanquished - each despot will be abased

58. Who takes pride in his unbelief one day
Will face the greatest torment the next

59. Who coveted immediate gain over the eternal
Was ruined by his preference of the lower

60. Whose rule among mankind is Abdulmejid
He is truly the victor and triumphant

61. Our supreme Sultan whom our days are blessed by
And our eras graced, we would shed blood for him

62. His vast charities have fully encompassed
Our needs, and more than we could contemplate

63. Our thoughts are engaged by his proposals
While he remains noble, not tiring of us

64. The tongue of the mute is compelled to praise you
Until the inanimate nearly speak of you

65. Your glory has illuminated the cosmos
Equally to the sighted and the blind

66. The tyrants gaze on you with envious eyes
So they taste bitterness and regret

67. If they plot, God's plotting is far greater
If they attack, His troops have no match

68. Among the impossible, if it happens
Against its nature and ordained fate

69. Their masses are only mirages
Not real, while the sun is not veiled by mist

70. None beyond your throne have distinction
As long as the Criterion remains unchanging

71. You who are praised dispel our sorrows
Our horizons are fragrant and sweet

72. Our fanciful dreams come true tomorrow
Though today is bitter and dire

73. No string of pearls in praise can match
The gifts your hand freely broadcasts

74. No articulate being remains
Who does not tell of your abounding gifts

75. May God guard your noble personage
And your servants remain under His protection

76. And prolong your supreme rule as long as
Stars twinkle and your generosity flows

77. I have composed two chronograms in verse
Capping my eulogy - my greatest fortune

78. Abdulmejid, God debase his foes
Our Sultan in truth triumphs and aids
