1. When the hedgehog finishes his supper,
He tosses the bones from his tower of tusks,
١. إذا ما تعشَّى القُنَّبِيط جراضم
رمى الجوَّ من برج أسته بجلاهق
2. So they echo out through his nostrils
And fall back again like a volley of shots.
٢. فيفعم ثقْبي منخريه عجاجها
فيرجع أيضاً سبكها كالبنادق
