1. O Yaḥyá ibn ʿAbd Allāh, a noble wedding is forbidden
He reproaches him that God made him deficient

2. So what prevents the belly from being an adulterer
And does not deprive the prone back from being sodomized

3. So whichever path he wanted to take
He found for it a partner to accompany him

4. And if the celestial bull carried its horn
It would fall from the celestial spheres to the earth descending

5. And whoever that face was a mirror of his face
It’s no wonder he becomes angry and upset

6. Gloomy, so that the eye remains sore from him
As if for pick-pocketing there is a wall against him

7. Alas! Misguidance for the people, they rejected governance
To you, even if it was producing dinars

8. So they did not preserve except a slinking fox
And they did not entrust except a deceiving swindler

9. So do not rejoice at the quickness of the command among them
For soon you will see in your deceivers the conniving

10. You will suffer a painful seizure, breaking bones
And cooking meat, stripping skin

11. And if you escape, your tricks will not save you
Unless you deploy your elite forces

12. So prepare for them what you betrayed them in
And your promise, you did not consider a mediator for it

13. And oh how cold it is around the heart, that you see
On the sides of roads, your hands outstretched
