1. When we raid the land of the Bani 'Anizah
Their eagles and vultures raid with us

2. And if we attack the battalions they retreat
And their birds fly back upon us

3. Our swords divide them in the worst division
So their innards are in us and their breasts are in them

4. Among us are fierce lions, angry
Heroes whose resting indicates their boldness

5. When we water the swords with blood
That is blood which has no weakness

6. And we do not fear the army when meeting it
Few and many are equal to us

7. And our swords drip but not every hour
Do rigid souls flow upon them

8. Accustomed not to drip their blades
Intending not to violate a tribe

9. If the valiant fall short in war
Our lines in wars are long
