1. As for your threat with the poem
Which nonsense wove its cloak

2. It is the one that struck our Egypt
With the like of it in silliness

3. Let alone a poem that dragged
At the edge of weapons, its trains

4. You slapped with your slap from it the nape
And I clarified for people its forms

5. And if I had given it its right
I would have spat on the chin of whoever said it

6. So your enemies rejoice that they have seen
In your composing it hope in you

7. As for your stinging scorpions
With the audacity of your attack, so long

8. I have for them an incantation they never knew
The hearing of any creature like them

9. It kills scorpions instantly
And heals their sting, oh my!

10. And an antidotal poem, drinking it
Dissolves poisons and their conglomerate

11. So if they crept to their sting
And returned to delusion, we repeat it for them
