However they judge in love whether they do justice or are unjust

4. They are, they are my masters whether they were gentle or harsh, merciful or aloof
They estranged, they reconciled, they left me, they fulfilled, they delayed

5. They loved so if they abandoned, they visited, they reconciled, they troubled
Love has seemed good to me however they acted

6. Herding the past days in which I prided myself on them
And good were the days at the sanctuary our first ones

7. An era as if its nights were white ostriches
The drinking of lips and the times of meeting kisses

8. When the narrators narrated any news about it to us
As if they transported us to what they transported

9. How many secluded ones in their domes
Whose beauty and honor proverbs were derived from?

10. A virgin who was the sun in the splendor of her smile
If the branches of her youth were not withering

11. The puppet of the palace if not for the sound of her speech
And the gazelle of the desert if not for her ornament and slackness

12. Her laughing white cheeks when she smiled
Were like the smirk of lightning if not for its prose and chanting

13. The dawn appears and becomes shy when her veil Slips from her cheek so it rises high and its shyness intensifies
She struts tipsily during her endeavor while she is sober

14. So she breaks patience from her as she walks
With her glances and lashes she invades hearts

15. If not for drowsiness, we would have said her eyelids are defective
I ransom them from horses in their stalls

16. And in litters from them flames kindle
They are horsemen of spearing and striking but

17. Their sharpest weapons are their height and eyeliner
Archers upon archers they attacked with piercing white swords

18. And with their eyelids they carried out raids on the people of passion
In the sheath of each cleaver from their cleavers

19. And the eye of each beauty a fate lies in ambush

The hearts overnight in their dwellings as guests

26. And they have no hospitality but their fires
They are the generous but they are Arabs

27. Stinginess in generosity suits them
As for the waists bending in their belts

28. Under the iron and rods atop them saddlebags
And white round pearls some of which they wore

29. And some of which they made necklaces for the necks of girls
Were it not for slaying eyes and frames we would not

30. Have feared the impact of their shooting and killing
May God not shine a dawn in their absence

31. Nor may its night unveil away from them and set
Nor may their eyes sober from the slumber of languor

32. Nor fatigue in anything but them disperse
Were it not for their love sadness would not have worn out my body

33. Nor would the sight of homes and ruins hurt me
Nor would my heart separate with the ruins as

34. The abandoned places from Ali dispersed in the land
Al-Mousawi whose lineage’s lantern

35. Its wombs linked to the illumination of Mount Sinai
A noble soul the generous deeds measured by him

36. And through him civilizations in the world originated and transmitted
A towering mountain if Sa’d Abi Waqqas were to replace him

37. The inhabitants of settlement with Al-Rahoun would not accept him
And if the crescent were to fall as night upon his land

38. It would not satisfy it that it changed its slipper
A battlement that leans affectionately towards gazelles

39. As if they had doe eyes looking at him
It covers the plateau like his past and his term

40. Shakes good tidings and its side slopes
In an eye of its Hindiya from his blow cataracts

41. And in its slopes from the wine of hills, cheeks
It has swords if victory makes them laugh

42. Necks cry and souls bemoan themselves shadows

46. Like a star that moves to him while the darkness wraps

47. Follows it eager towards it when it departs
It meets the beds of light in its haunts

48. As if it wraps itself in the leather of the sun
The opponent does not aspire in it the softness of its side

49. For snakes and canes may soften when old
And its generosity does not tempt the enemy

50. So its sender of thunder, its showering clouds
It extends a hand to the heights and generous deeds

51. Its lines to deaths and wishes are paths
A hand to every Egypt from its fingers

52. Aspirations flow and hopes in them settle
As if its ring on the day of bestowal in them

53. Were the bow of the lowering cloud when laden
It attained perfection as a child since its birth

54. And carried out excellence as an infant before being weaned
A soul from holiness in an absolute being

55. With chivalry it surpassed so a man would testify to it
A moon has not emerged over a bed like it

56. Nor has a mountain been mounted before it
Nor has a lion devoted itself to asceticism except it

57. Nor been religious in the religion of gazelles a hero
Did a sword split the sun except its splitting blade?

58. And engulf the sea except its coat of mail and armor?
Its attributes the life below made dim by it indeed

59. A measure over all the days so they became lowly
They portrayed it as a being but did not attain its qualities

60. And the people are towards it like beasts, among them the lions and foxes
How does a pretentious person attempt in it an attribute?

61. And does the onion obtain the scent of the narcissus?
Not all honorable men their honors contain

62. And there is not pearl in every sea bearing
It has the dearest clothes of a man his roughest

63. And the best fabrics and brocades ragged
If with clothes without might someone arrogant

64. He would surpass the naked in good dress
O son of the pitch black family when it carried in the horizon

65. Bulls and camels fear it
Your children made the whole world unstable and in you even

66. If they were not born the cycles would not have found a match
You are suns whose morning light

67. At night and times are dawn and roots
From you and because of you the narrators of glory took

68. The knowledge of highs and were it not for you they would be ignorant about it
They know you are truly their leaders

69. And they surely know you came before
If meagerness dressed you the excess of its dress

70. Then what pride upon you does it not contain?
Your medicine to the sick of glory a healing solution

71. But they to oceans of praise have chronic diseases
As if your clay was mixed with clay

72. So its plants are none but roses and basil
My master whom fasting has an everlasting reward and passed away

73. With you the breakfast and inclination forthcoming
And cheer with the return of a holiday in which returned to us

74. In you joy and worry and anguish went away
A feast honored O son of the two pure ones by you

75. For that the nation of Islam celebrates
You surpassed time as you surpassed kings so neither

76. Of them is the master among its people majestic
And look at dawn breaking over its arrogance

77. A crescent of bliss its years derived from you
An elder comes to you bent like a staff

78. While you are like an erect wet branch
He saw you after vows by night so the lifespan of youth

79. Equaled him while he put kohl on
And you never stopped obeyed commander able

80. Judgment runs with what you rule and complies
