Nor did the hand of fate withdraw a single penny from them.

17. And a death place for captivated prisoners,
Their hearts bound by its protection, became with the birds, a place of mourning.

18. A sanctuary whose sanctity the ground touched -
And in it the sword alongside peace became forbidden.

19. And a mouth whose dimples became impregnable -
So it wore the striking of the blades veiled.

20. Its horizons in its plains became indistinct -
Each encompassed from them rounds and stars.

21. How many suns in darkness that donned attire,
And moons of darkness that wore daytime turbans!

22. And lions of dens armored in iron,
And brave knights in vigor fully armed!

23. Its branches lean with silken clothes,
And its affectionate gazes speak with magic allowed in it.

24. And its coquettish glances reveal minarets of incense -
Almost with their beauty using kohl as a seal.

25. A place in it a treasure of beauty that never ceased
To be engraved with signs of the striking iron.

26. It is protected by horsemen whose spears
Remain towering upon victory, striking swiftly with arrows.

27. They have taken for murder and stabbing, means -
Slender waists and double-edged Indian swords.

ูขูง. ู‚ุฏ ุงูุชู‘ุฎุฐูˆุง ู„ู„ูุชูƒู ูˆุงู„ุทู‘ุนู†ู ุขู„ุฉู‹
ู‚ูุฏูˆุฏูŽ ุงู„ุนุฐุงุฑู‰ ูˆุงู„ูˆุดูŠุฌูŽ ุงู„ู…ู‚ูˆู‘ูŽู…ุง

28. They see humiliation in love as honor and luck,
And the best lifespans of souls as orphanhood.

29. The meadows are almost ashamed from their mouths
To return their dimples contracted.

30. When their moons look upon the eye of a hater
Demanding them in passion that returned impassioned.

31. By my soul! Among them are neighbors who joined the fever,
So they aggressed upon a heart among them it befriended.

32. They ignited my chest and settled in it -
For them are gardens tangled in hellfire.

33. The bitterness of torment was sweetened for me by them,
As was for Ali's soul to meet his death as his feast.

34. They are ambitions - if their might
Were a sea, it would shrink in its surge out of apprehension.

35. And one of resolves - if his swords were forged
They'd almost deafen Mount Safa howling.

ู„ุฃูˆุดูƒู’ู†ูŽ ููŠ ุตูู…ู‘ู ุงู„ุตู‘ูุง ุฃู† ุชูุตู…ู‘ู…ุง

36. The lineage of the best of messengers, purified -
He came pure of all blemish, most generous.

37. The greatest kings in worth and capability,
And the noblest in soul and most fragrant lineage.

38. A generous one who came while the atmosphere was arid,
So his hands in it became like the flashing lightning in the darkness.

39. He attained the heights after its ceiling collapsed -
So he rebuilt its pillars that had fallen.

ูฃูฉ. ูˆูˆุงูู‰ ุงู„ู…ูŽุนุงู„ูŠ ุจุนุฏู…ุง ุฎุฑู‘ ุณู‚ููู‡ุง
ูุดูŠู‘ุฏ ู…ู† ุฃุฑูƒุงู†ูู‡ุง ู…ุง ุชู‡ุฏู‘ู…ุง

40. When fate brought forth a torrent, he was before it,
And if it brandished a sword, he was a shield and a protector.

41. A generous one whose eyes of generosity - if not for his existence,
Would have overflowed upon the blind.

ูคูก. ูƒุฑูŠู…ูŒ ุนููŠูˆู†ู ุงู„ุฌูˆุฏู ู„ูˆู„ุง ูˆูุฌูˆุฏูู‡
ู„ูŽูุงุถูŽุชู’ ุฌูˆุงุฑูŠู‡ุง ูˆุฃุบุถูŽุชู’ ุนู„ู‰ ุนูŽู…ู‰

42. And a gentle one whom Allah made beautiful to people -
So He diversified him with benevolence and apportioned.

ูู†ูˆู‘ุนูŽู‡ู ุจุงู„ู…ูŽูƒุฑูู…ุงุชู ูˆู‚ุณู‘ู…ุง

43. He is justice, except when an enemy intends injustice with him,
He was more calamitous and more unjust.

ูคูฃ. ู‡ูˆ ุงู„ุนุฏู„ู ุฅู„ู‘ุง ุฃู†ู‘ู‡ ุฅุฐ ูŠูŽุฑูˆู…ูู‡
ุนุฏูˆู‘ูŒ ุจุธูู„ู…ู ูƒุงู† ุฃุฏู‡ู‰ ูˆุฃุธู„ูŽู…ุง

44. A crescent of life that leaves fate one maimed,
And a full moon of perfection whose houses were lit.

ู‡ูู„ุงู„ู ุญูŠุงุฉู ูŠุชุฑููƒ ุงู„ุญุชููŽ ุฃู‚ุตูŽู…ุง

45. And a lion of fighting roaring in the heights -
His flashing blade deafened for death a piercing sound.

ูคูฅ. ูˆุจุฏุฑู ูƒู…ุงู„ู ุจุงู„ุณู‘ุฑูˆุฌู ุจูุฑูˆุฌูู‡
ูˆู„ูŠุซู ู†ูุฒุงู„ู ุจุงู„ุนูˆุงู„ูŠ ุชุฃุฌู‘ู…ุง

46. A young man who repaired the days after their corruption,
And completed the helpers of the generous and perfected.

ูคูฆ. ูŠุฑู‰ ุนุงู…ู„ูŽ ุงู„ุฎุทู‘ูŠู‘ ู‚ุฏู‘ุงู‹ ู…ูู‡ูู‡ูุงู‹
ูˆูŠุญุณูŽุจู ุฅูŠู…ุงุถูŽ ุงู„ูŠู…ุงู†ูŠู‘ ุชุจุณู‘ู…ุง

47. And clarified what was between misguidance and guidance -
So he elucidated a path long obscured.

ูคูง. ุฅุฐุง ู…ุง ุชูˆู„ู‘ู‰ ู„ู„ูˆุซูˆุจู ุนู„ู‰ ุงู„ุนูุฏุง
ูŠูƒุงุฏู ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุงู„ุฏู‘ูุฑู’ุนู ุฃู† ูŠุชูุตู‘ู…ุง

48. And corrected the deviation of the faith after its crookedness -
So he became in it supporting after one leaning.

ูคูจ. ุบู†ูŠู‘ูŒ ู„ุฏูŠู‡ ู„ุง ูŠุฒุงู„ู ู…ู† ุงู„ุซู‘ู†ุง
ูƒู†ูˆุฒูŒ ูˆุฅู† ุฃุถุญู‰ ู…ู† ุงู„ู…ุงู„ู ู…ูุนุฏู…ุง

49. And obliged the people of hypocrisy with loyalty, so they transgressed -
And their rhetoric was made ineloquent and muted.

ูคูฉ. ู„ู‡ ู†ูู‚ูŽู…ูŒ ู…ุญุฐูˆุฑุฉูŒ ุนู†ุฏ ุณูุฎุทูู‡
ูˆู„ุง ุบูŽุฑู’ูˆูŽ ุฃู† ุนุงุฏุชู’ ู…ู† ุงู„ุนููˆู ุฃู†ุนูู…ุง

50. So were it not for him, the pool would not have rid itself of filth -
And it would have become a depression with its water congealed.

ูฅู . ุถูŽุญูˆูƒูŒ ุฅุฐุง ุงูุณุชู…ุทุฑุชู‡ู ูู‡ูˆ ุจุงุฑู‚ูŒ
ูŠุฌูˆุฏู ูˆุฅู† ุฌุฑู‘ุจุชูŽู‡ู ูƒุงู† ู…ูุฎุฐูŽู…ุง

51. He enlightened it with evidence of his understanding -
With floods, so it became fragrant with aromatic flowers.

ูฅูก. ูˆุตุนุจูŒ ุฅุฐุง ุงูุณุชุนุทูŽูุชูŽู‡ ู„ุงู†ูŽ ุฌุงู†ุจุงู‹
ูˆุนุฐู’ุจูŒ ุฅุฐุง ุนุงุฏูŽูŠู’ุชูŽู‡ ุตุงุฑูŽ ุนูŽู„ู‚ูŽู…ุง

52. When the volumes of his praise are recounted -
The breath of morning blows musk sealed.
