عليَّ بها مُفَدَّمةً بقَزِّ
2. When the pot bubbles over it
To dress the cup in its finest array
٢. إذا ما قَهْقهَ الابريقُ عنَهْا
ليكسوْ الكأسَ منها أحسنَ الزِّيْ
3. My eyes were dazzled by the eye of a rooster
That flowed from the like of a goose's beak
٣. تحيّرَ ناظري في عينِ ديكٍ
جَرَتْ من مثلِ مِنقارِ الإوزّ
4. Pass it around, O most beloved of people,
In memory of our most precious master
٤. أَدِرْها يا أعزَّ الناسِ عِندي
على تذكارِ سيِّدنا الأعَزِّ
