1. Excuses have departed, so passion came to help you,
And love became pledged to the longing of the lover,

2. When he saw the separation had cheerful delight,
And the estrangement had lasting agony,

3. And passion that echoes in the cheeks of the enamored,
A tear that remains witness to misery,

4. What harm if the two lovely ones, had they
Repelled from the sleeper the scattered slumber,

5. They journeyed to him so they showed him a rising moon,
And swayed so they showed him a bending branch,

6. And smiled so they unveiled to him a clear bright one,
Luminous dispelling the stagnant darkness,

7. Until when they stopped for the farewell of the beloved,
In a stand that brings the distant loved one closer,

8. The winds of longing scattered in their gardens,
Narcissus atop the cheeks overflowing,

9. They looked at the spring of our spring, our hopes,
So our purposes toward it became intent,

10. Bearing for Al-Hasan ibn Abdullah, in
The heat of talk, achievements and praises,

11. Superfluous, when the necklace of praise is threaded,
It becomes necklaces for the necks of kings,

12. Tell the prince Abu Muhammad, who
Glory emblazoned became praising him,

13. As for the delegations, they had seen before spring,
The arriving spring coming to you,

14. From east and west of the countries they come,
To the shining Mosul, the most glorious conquest,

15. It was humbled before him if he decided to depart,
And it smiled when he came visiting,

16. So it is as if spring spread its meadows,
Covering the plateaus and the saddened ruins,

17. His hands guided by its dew, as though
The cool Euphrates streamed in its plain,

18. A king, when he initiates a blessing,
You find him quick to return to it,

19. Singular in his opinion with resolves,
That if they appeared, were dormant,

20. And manners that please the beholders, and speech
Always benefitting the listeners with insights,

21. And if events became turbulent, his right hand alerted
A dormant sword for them,

22. It runs and is steadfast during tribulations, so you do not see
In fate except bowing or prostrating,

23. And a hand that returns water in its inkwells generously,
And clothes fate in shining light,

24. If he is clothed, you adorn the world with him, for you have
Become for the world a blazing flame,

25. And you spread the hopes of the destitute with it, so they
Thanked your generosity, sources and streams,

26. And you wore your glory with the swords and spears,
And the star is not seen but rising,

27. You attained what you sought tranquilly,
So you surpassed those who strive to reach your glory,

28. And you became a pillar in tribulations so as to overcome,
And a hand for them in generosity and aid,
