غدا تبدي مدامعنا الخفايا

1. Tomorrow our tears will reveal the secrets
When tied for their goodness are the tents

١. غداً تُبدي مَدامِعُنا الخَفَايا
إذا زُمَّت لطَيْبَتِها المَطايا

2. We stood praising the teardrops when
We saw the separation condemned for its evil

٢. وقَفنَا نَحمَدُ العَبَراتِ لمَّا
رأينا البَينَ مَذمومَ السَّجَايا

3. As if their cheeks when they thinned
Have remnants of fresh juice in them

٣. كأنَّ خُدُودَهنَّ إذا استقلَّتْ
شَقِيقٌ فيه من طَلٍّ بَقايا

4. And they surpassed with glances arrows
The hearts of lovers are their target

٤. وقَد فَوَّقنَ بالألحاظِ نَبلاً
قلوبُ العاشِقين لها رَمايا

5. We wished for the meeting but it was mortal
And how many wishes brought death

٥. تَمنَّينَا اللِّقاءَ فكان حَتفاً
وكم أُمنِيَّةٍ جَلَبت مَنايا

6. I see the horizons filled with delight
By the victory of the Prince, my master of the house

٦. أرَى الآفاقَ قد مُلِئَت سُروراً
بتَغِليبِ الأميرِ أبي السَّرايا

7. With a newborn whom God sees as a lion
And a rain that flows on the lands

٧. بمَولودٍ يَراه اللهُ لَيثاً
وغَيثاً يَستَهِلُّ علَى البَرايا

8. A noble one whom the generous people produced
So he came out resembling them, determined and pioneering

٨. نَجِيبٌ أنتَجَتْه كِرامُ قَومٍ
فجاءَ شَبِيهَهم حَزماً ورَايا

9. I will praise them as long as I live
The praise of the admirer for the praised

٩. ثَناي عَليهِمُ مادُمتُ حَيَّاً
ثَناءَ المُستهامِ علَى الثَّنايا

10. As if I see the Prince who was tested
Revealing more than his afflictions

١٠. كأنَّي بالأميرِ وقَد بَلاهُ
يُكشِّفُ زَائداً عنه البَلايا

11. And he cut the souls of the envious with rage
With his sword he made them fragments

١١. وقَطَّعَ أنفُسَ الحُسَّادِ غَيظاً
بسُؤدُدِه فَطيَّرَها شَظايا

12. And the armors became devoted to him
Flapping, and the horses devoted to him neighing

١٢. وأَصْبَحَتِ الدُّروعُ له شُفوقاً
خِفاقاً والسُّروجُ له حَشايا

13. If he ever competes the equals one day
To the goals, he leaves them regrets

١٣. إذا ما سَابقَ الأَكفاءَ يَوماً
إلى الغاياتِ خَلَّفَهم رَزايا

14. He wrongs the tradition if his fingers are allowed
And he makes justice in the cases

١٤. يَجورُ على التَّليدِ إذا استُمِيحَت
أنَاملُه ويَعدِلُ في القَضايا

15. The life of glory is to live and perish
His enemies and regrets

١٥. حَياةُ المَجدِ أن يَحياَ وَتُفْنِي
أعادِيه الحوادثُ والرَّزايا

16. So tell Abu Al-Muzaffar we have won
What we hope from you of gifts

١٦. فقُل لأَبي المُظفَّرِ قد ظَفِرنا
بما نَرجو لديك من العَطايا

17. You excelled so you were an ocean when they
Were thirsty, drawing from bits

١٧. فَضُلتَ فكنتَ بَحراً حينَ كانوا
ثِماداً يُسْتَمَدُّ مِنَ الرَّكايا

18. And were it not for grace, we would not feel deficiency
And were it not for devotion, sins would not be absolved

١٨. ولولا الفَضلُ لم نَشعُر بنَقصٍ
ولولا النُّسكُ لم تَبرَ الخطايا

19. And whoever guides the living to praiseworthy gardens
Wins from it the blessings of guidance

١٩. ومن يُهدِ الحيَا لرياضِ حَمدٍ
يَفُزْ مِنها بألطافِ الهَدَايا

20. Just as the rain cloud overflowed generously on land
And brought out from it the treasures

٢٠. كما جادَ السَّحابُ الجَودُ أرضاً
فأبرَزَ من مَحاسِنها الخَبايا

21. And our praises have come as coins
So do not make their rewards forgotten

٢١. وقَد جاءتْ مدائحُنا نُقوداً
فلا تَجعَل جوائزَها نَسايا
