1. Say to the noble prince, lofty among his peers,
And who raised nations to the heights through his pride and glory,

2. And who rules firmly with his resolve,
Like a sword when unsheathed,

3. That the generous, when he builds,
Does not intend the demolition of his building,

4. And when he bestows a kindness,
It endures through the length of his existence,

5. And when he reaps the fruits of success,
He waters it from his rivers,

6. I am his plant, and plants grow
If they are not deprived of their water,

7. O best of hopes, to whom the hopeful cling,
Seeking refuge from his demise,

8. Has clothed in the garb of virtue,
So turn the course of his era,

9. And dress him in new praise.
