1. You were fortunate to be loved by him, and to meet with acceptance,
And happiness clears for you and completes.

2. And a delight combined with an all-encompassing union,
So its gentle southern winds and northern breeze blew.

3. Your hands were successful, Abu Al Muzaffar, in attaining that
Which time had been miserly and stingy towards.

4. She came to you as the precious pearl of the oyster
To whom a bay of the turbulent sea became a refuge.

5. Chastity was wed to chastity, and the honor of virtue
Was not lost to one who excels.

6. It is generosity whosetorrent diverged then converged,
Since there was no one to divert it from its confluence.

7. And the daughters of a man's uncle are the best of his women.
Indeed the generous man inclines towards the generous woman.

8. Thus glory with them is a radiant smile,
And progeny between them a protected, endowed one.

9. Two branches that the blessed shade gathered together
In might and the most high, eminent honor.

10. O cream of princes, our time, as long as you lived in the world,
Is, in finery, the most beautifully adorned.

11. You are the life, the generosity, whose horizons
Flow with benevolence or cascade.

12. Rabee'ah knew that you are the flag that
Guides to the ways of dew those who are ignorant.

13. The singular planet by which one steers
While the sides of night are covered in darkness.

14. The pillar of nobility that does not bend,
The bearer of burdens that are not carried.

15. If he attends, he is a majestic assembly,
Or if he proceeds, he is a brave army.

16. People are blamed for stinginess, but
The generous man in action is blamed and pardoned.

17. And he hates injustice, but his hand
Forever does injustice to swords, so it is accepted.

18. When I recalled events by mentioning him,
Its circumstances came to me, picked out.

19. You were congratulated for the blessing you were given,
Radiant, virtuous in minds and beautiful.

20. I imagine you among pure progeny,
Charging before you in iron armor and wrapped in soft silk.

21. Like the full moon surrounded by the stars of its horizon,
And the lion, while its cubs bustle around its protection.

22. My praises did not embellish you, but they
Became, by your mention, embellished among people.

23. With your praise it returned as a landmark, and you can see
Before it, it is as if unknown.

24. You are the sword, its blade within its sheathe
Echoing, and the hand of praises polishing it.

25. So it rises above every virtue,
What the highborn scholar cannot rise above.

26. Avoiding the error of words, as if
The resurrector was sent for it, and Al-Akhṭal lived.

27. It is as if it is a sword in your grip,
Unsheathed, and as if it is a necklace, strung onto you.
