3. Autumn has called us to a dwelling
More beautiful and good than dwellings

4. Beauty has gathered in a garden
And the Tigris has scattered nations in it

5. With a disturbed, gray-haired old man
Laughing at the grayness of aged men

6. We praise it when we alight at dawn
And we destroy it if we depart at sunset

7. As if we were bound to it, unwillingly
A formidable horseman who scatters a revered man

8. We stayed the night and so did the morning breeze
Moving gently through its sides

9. It almost flies above its faint breaths
Upon that drinking by those who drink

10. Our basil has veiled the earth
Leaving no share for the eye

11. As if we were on the surface of turbulent seas
Where the north meets the south

12. Some excite prohibition through confusion
And some steal hearts through discipline

13. A leg meets his flask
As the young mountain goat met a lovely doe

14. Circling us with a radiant sun
Frightening the sun until it disappears

15. Our hunter spreads around us
Prey that satisfies the judicious

16. Quails whose bodies inform
That they have grazed on fertile land

17. Does, if they touched
Air, it would leave scars on them

18. Had it not been for the shields destined
For their bodies, they would have melted

19. A savage beast is sent out for fairness
Driving a formidable day to the wild

20. Well-mannered, whose deed is approved
When we have never known a kinder beast

21. The Turkish face shows us
Sincere brotherhood and a shining face

22. If she pounces on her prey, she embraces it
Like a lover meeting a beloved

23. With honest zeal and pure nature
And excellent vigor and wondrous affair

24. She has won the love of her owners
So each fears for her the crowds

25. And the water around us sounds
As if the water battled those bedouins

26. Mountains united by wisdom
So the seas love them, not the plateaus

27. They meet us in the shirt of dew
When the horizon from it is bleak

28. Its everlasting rocks embracing
A strange delegation to the water

29. I wondered at their pale cheeks
Why the walk did not take away their pallor

30. If we ventured to visit them
We rode them as a child or a relative

31. The stillness sings to us among them
A song that rends open our chests

32. Each passerby dwells next to them
Though the journey from them is near

33. Empty of heart, but it yearns
So it excites the heart with wishes

34. How excellent is the monastery as an abode
We have made life in it fresh and good

35. If we took refuge in it briefly
Its wonders prevented us from disappointing
