1. A summer house I composed verses for,
Built without a sturdy foundation,

2. We dwell in when the hot wind blows,
Enjoying it with prolonged praise,

3. And dismantle it when winter passes,
Since it offers us little shelter,

4. Oh, what a house the wise man built,
Fortified from heat, expansive in space,

5. We come upon during the hot wind,
The resting place on winter nights,

6. It carries water like clouds carry,
And gives nothing but the air,

7. A horse told of spending the night uncovered,
With rain pouring from the sky.
