1. I strike the enemies of the Prophet and his family
With a striking that makes the eggs crumble at his striking

2. And I know full well that their patron
Will be rewarded tomorrow after the resurrection, measure for measure

3. So he who supported them continues in his exaltation
And he who opposed them continues in his humiliation

4. And a dissenter tried to separate my loyalty
From their lofty nobility and exaltation

5. But my soul did not obey me in obeying him
Nor did the Qur'an permit me to follow him

6. I was imprinted with love for the successor, and it was not
Possible for the imprinted passion to move from its imprinting
