1. The night of departure cried for him
And longing called out as he turned away

2. Why hesitate with luggage in secret?
Before you coral mounts and scattered sands

3. Nothing equals shortcoming but yearning
A lightning flashed with green lights evening glow

4. Walking in emigrant's sun he continued
Yearning for a full moon shadowed by clouds

5. The Ever-Praiser, the Guardian, dwells in His vicinity
The most faithful and perfect in keeping His ties

6. Eyes rained from His palms
And His hands speaking make the inanimate talk

7. The moon split for His sake and so stretching
Trees inclined with love and veneration to Him

8. Upon Him, His honored kin and companions
And the Lord of earth peace and blessings everlasting
