1. When they purified me
I was still young

On my feet and hands

4. I became happy although
I knew nothing of purification

5. The pain returned and took over
My patience left me

6. Since then for all my life
I long for purification

7. Oh how beautiful are the new brides
Walking proudly

8. Above the saddlecloths
Walking or standing still

9. And the women around them
In joy, following behind

10. Singing and cheering
Amongst themselves

11. While tales and gossip
Echo all day long

12. But today the young ones
Will stay in happiness
