1. The generous feast is laid out
At the hands of the open-handed

2. None is turned away
So enjoy, O servants of God

3. Behold, O fortunate is he
Who tastes the honey-drenched kunafa

4. Though it be free of charge, still
His life is blessed by God's will

5. When the puffed bread comes our way
With sugar sprinkled on top they say

6. It calls to one whose heart is torn
"To Alexandria, away!"

7. Dip it in, let your soul rejoice
May your soul return to God
