With arrogance conceived

2. Return to your Master, be saved
From this danger tomorrow

3. And at His door stand
Then let the tear flow

4. To gain might through Him
And see the fracture mended

5. And desire of the soul leave it
For desire's consequence is disgrace

6. And fold the spread of sin
To see forgiveness unfold

7. And beseech the Prophet
Of Hejaz, the Arab

8. Master of sublime glory
Who split the moon
