1. Nothing but Your forgiveness is my hope, O my Master,
On the Day of Resurrection, no knowledge or deeds avail,

2. And in Your protection, when afraid, I have hope,
O Most Generous, when stratagems fail me,

3. To You I come, confessing my shortcomings,
A servant at Your door imploring, O Most Forbearing,

4. If You accept me, it is a boon from You we acknowledge,
And if You spurn me, dread will repel him,

5. O You under Whose banner praise is unfurled
On the Day of Assembly, to Whom the messengers have resorted,

6. And Whose intercession we truly hope for tomorrow,
In a station where all people are confounded,

7. You are the Means, O Best of Creation, and Who
Is the refuge for one devastated by lapses?

8. Through You I have sought God's blessings, O my hope,
Upon You, then upon your Companions in order.
