1. I fell asleep before dawn, a deep slumber
In an hour when I had not slept before

2. So I dreamt of a beautiful maiden
Of perfect beauty when she stood

3. And of a radiant full moon that brought me
A swift she-camel answering her rein

4. Would that the pulpits, O son of Bishr, were
Where you ascend being their preacher and imam

5. So I asked my Lord to grant you Paradise
Where her soul meets you in peace
