1. When they saw me, the king's horsemen turned
With Burjat and Riyata; in retreat
١. لَمّا رَأَوني وَوَجهَ بُرجَةَ وَالر
رَيطَةَ وَلّى فَوارِسُ المَلِكِ
2. Their spears propelled them. Down they slid
Like torrents down the ropes of death.
٢. فَأَدبَروا وَالرِماحُ تَأخُذُهُم
نَزوَ القَطافي حَبائِلِ الشَرَكِ
