1. My people were foolish in love, they acted foolishly
They obscured my opinion and cloaked it

2. They were unjustly envious of me and defiled
My honor with false words though it is pure

3. They congregated without purpose and falsely claimed
That I am a pretender in love, pretending

4. And without knowing me the enemies prophesied
In ignorance, and had they succeeded they would have been deified

6. If only they had come to my cave in which
I lie, they would have been awakened to me
