1. I roamed to India with Arab youths
Whose neighbors they wrong not at all

2. Yearning for the most sublime of creatures and joining him
With other than the sons of Ham, no injustice done

3. A beloved who refused to see a square house
And had no place of rest in his dwellings

4. So I saw no other house but his house
And none possessed it save for the tents

5. He is the whole, none other, the whole of him
So all are enamored and beside themselves for him
