1. If you do not promise me a return in your hearts
Then I will inevitably perish
١. إِن لَم يَعِدني في قِلاكُم عائِدٌ
مِنكُم فَإِنّي لا مَحالَةَ هالِكُ
2. And when I saw your just inclination
Turn from me, and I am set upon another path
٢. وَإِذ اِرتَأَيتُ عَدلاً مَيلَكُم
عَنّي وَغَيرُ سَبيلُكُم أَنا سالِكُ
3. Yet I am your slave, and it is the duty
Of a slave to be devoted to his master
٣. لِكِنَّني مَملوكُكُم وَعَلى عُقو
قِ العَبدِ مِنّاً مِنهُ يَحنو المالِكُ
