1. A letter arrived from a noble youth,
So I drank from the streams of his pen,

2. Adorned with his righteous deeds,
And studded with his word pearls.

3. An honor for Allah's religion, he honored me,
Continues to bestow abundant bounty,

4. And raised me with his high aspiration,
Above what my own aspirations aimed for.

5. Likewise does he bestow his superior favor,
Upon the highest allies and the lowliest servants.
