1. Indeed I say to a candle lit for us,
And the wings of night spread their wings,

2. My heart yearns for loved ones,
While you cry with your flowing tears.

3. You rushed to blame hastily,
So listen to the clear words I speak,

4. I was separated from a beloved company,
Sweet and pleasant was our fellowship.

5. He was plucked from my being though we were twins,
So my heart returned wounded.

6. You look for one I described as gentle,
And radiant, while you are in doubt.

7. I lost him before my eyes,
Isn’t it miserly for my tears to be scarce?

8. Events have separated us with fire,
And with it I vowed to return and kill myself.
