1. O Muslim, son of the virtuous caliph,
And O knight of the world and mountain of the earth,

2. I thanked you though gratitude is a rope of piety,
And not all those I endowed with bounty fulfill it.

3. When I came to you as a visitor,
You bestowed upon me a quilt ample in length and width.

4. You revived memories for me that were not dormant,
But some memories awaken one more than others.
