1. This morning is the dawn of old age made clear
The night swiftly turned to bright morning

2. Time has two colors, of light and darkness
Each punishes the other whenever they part

3. That is its way, it afflicted its sons with it
When the expanse of life relaxed and widened

4. Man does not deny the light of glory as gloom
Unless he was submissive to the soul's wishes

5. When you see the flashes of white hair smiling
At the temples, greet life though it is faded

6. One should honor and esteem white hair
Who has prepared deeds that mended

7. As for me, my excuse has not ceased to justify it
A gentle breeze makes the ailing utterly feeble whenever it blows

8. The lightning that smiled in the darkness
Was nothing but its tears flowing down the slope

9. The white hair has no share of my love
After blaming in matters of passion and attachment

10. My loyalty refuses to listen to blamers
And obey a wrong advisor or a sincere advisor

11. O people of Najd, Al-Washmi watered your plains
With a rain that quenches the thirst of the soil, however hard

12. What is there for the heart when a sweet breeze blows
Bringing it the breaths of beautiful trees and open spaces

13. How excellent a breeze that blows from your land
And a thunderbolt from your atmosphere rumbled

14. O neighbors who know the generosity of the living
No harm from one who is stingy with kindness even if he pardons

15. I have never witnessed a withholding cloud
Except that the flint of passion caught fire

16. My heart that it pains is in God's care
Except that the closeness returned distanced

17. How many nights when darkness overwhelmed its sides
Frightening the cowardly heart that does not cease cringing

18. I walked them while the horizon stars floated in it
Scattering pearls, and the night darkness overflowed

19. With a swimmer I was guided at night by its starlight
While the moon in the depth of darkness swam

20. The clouds scattering the pearls of tears out of sorrow
And the air undresses from the lightning of darkness and adorns

21. I have never asked of my resolve an unattainable wish
Except that I reached from the days a realizable one

22. I have never been able to hold cups of resolve intoxicated
Except I was able to hold cups of honor shining

23. This and all the hope I got
Seemed like a mirage, then it slipped away

24. How much man struggles without knowing his fate
Is not each person rewarded for what he strove?

25. Oh what a pity! My youth whose prime is wasted
What I rejoiced in has now become regret

26. Are not our days that preceded us
Stages in which mistakes taught openly?

27. We are the most worthy of repenting to God
If a heart inclined to guidance

28. The truth is evident, and salvation is near
The matter is for God, and success is for who does right

29. Oh how I wish my soul had not hesitated from its guidance
And went ahead with the reins of error

30. You hope for salvation but do not follow its ways
Who sells righteousness for error rarely profits

31. My Lord, every sinner hopes for Your pardon
You are the Most Generous in pardoning and forgiveness

32. My Lord, I have no reason to hope for salvation
Except the Messenger, and Your kindness if it blows

33. I have never resorted to him in solving a dilemma
Except that I found the door of kindness wide open

34. No issue ever narrowed so I sought help through him
Except the door of distress opened and relief came

35. O you who travel to his gravesite my caller
However far you fold the distance and however wide

36. Where the lands are inhabited by the light of revelation
Whoever reached it saw his hopes realizable

37. Where the message appears with its wonders
With beauty, God's light becomes evident

38. Where the prophecy recites from its marvels
A mention that leaves the zealous heart relieved

39. Where the tomb of what it contained of generosity
Boasted in pride over who triumphed and succeeded

40. What an excellent town where the Prophet was
Where he met the angels and revelation came casually

41. O land of his emigration, o horizon of his emergence
For me in you without thinking a full moon rose

42. The one from Hashim whose emergence ascended in the sky of honor
Most honorable ancestry adorned with honor

43. From the eminent Adnanites, from glorious Mudar
From elevated Muhtad whose eminent rise high

44. Since the days of Adam His command continuously
Rises with glory from His noble forefathers

45. A providence that preceded existence for him
By God if weighed against existence it would outweigh

46. O Chosen One, since the veil of existence never parted
O Beloved One, since the flint of light was never sparked

47. Without you no sun or moon would have risen
Without you the orbits would not have appeared shining

48. You called with light unveiling every dark place
Until the path of truth became evident and clear

49. O Opener of Messengers, or O Seal exalted
You were blessed as the seal, sanctified as opener

50. You approached creation with kindness you grant
While your heart in the highest world never left

51. Like the sun in the highest horizon its course
And the light from it to the sights made clear

52. How many verses to God’s Messenger are miracles
The eloquent tongues fall short of their extremes

53. If the sun was returned after setting for him
The clouds would have shaded him wherever he went

54. What a great blessing that increased among people
And a mercy encompassing those present and traveling

55. God gave you what He gave no one else
God is Most Generous in giving and granting

56. His beloved, His Chosen One, His Beloved and in this
Is clear news for who adorned you with praise

57. The Book of God praised you lauding
So where can anyone reach in your sublimity with praise?

58. My sins have distanced me from you, my hope
So my effort today is to present to you this eulogy

59. Perhaps your kindness and fate preceding
Bring a lover from the furthest west distanced

60. A soul is a ray and a heart whose ribs
Suffer from the longing that fled

61. When lightning illuminates and the clouds intend
My sighs ignite or my tears pour

62. Why do I not yearn when this body yearned for him?
When the meeting with him grew distant and slipped away

63. How much this illness and the days make me wait
As if they did not find in that any respite

64. I cannot imagine that God would bring close from afar
And bring near after separation the distant

65. O Master of Messengers, O excellent intercessor when
Standing grows long and the heat of the sun scorches

66. You are the intercessor and the sights are watching
You are the savior and terror of calamities spreads

67. May your highness and good assumption intercede for me
That my effort succeeds after it triumphed

68. I hope that you, the best whose means are hoped
Save a drowning man in the sea of sin who swam

69. Continuously confessing sin, apologizing
Perhaps your love will erase all he did

70. Maybe tomorrow the bearer of glad tidings will let me hear
Good news, returning the wretch to joy

71. Do not despair, for God is Most Generous
And your love erases and obliterates sins

72. May God send blessings upon the Chosen, His elite
However long the days continue or lightning strikes

73. And may God support our master with his protection
Through which gate to the Most High did he open?

74. Religion and world were congratulated for a king
Through whose good fortune the auspicious bird alighted

75. I am the guarantor for Makhjul with his innocence
Do you not see his eye in misery without comfort?

76. My master, take it as his eloquence wished
Deceitful, it did not lack mighty deeds and shooting stars

77. As if its series of rhymes when presented
