8. You sparked a flame
O brilliant one

When the heart is captive to thought

Veil the face of the moon

Allure the ladies of boudoirs

Beneath a brightening dawn

17. O daybreak, origin of lights
How much beauty you hold

18. A delight for all eyes
It would not hurt to soothe the suffering

19. O garden of flowers
Whose fragrance relieves the sick

20. Your healing staff
Is watered with bitter tears

21. So copious, they flow
Is there in passion a helper

If I had a visitor

24. With overflowing tears
And love is so hostile

25. Oppressing in darkest ignorance
The lashes, swordsmen

A night in the valley

The boughs of acacia

It is perfumed by the praise

Are carried by the caravans

35. In greeting to the pulpit
The league of writers

36. Rightfully claimed great triumph
Strutting in their robes

37. Of lofty splendor
It is enough for them, the verbosity

38. In total praise and thanks
O caliph of the Merciful

39. Ever sublime in bearing
O haven for the thirsty

40. And capital for the destitute
Let this claim rain down

41. Upon the beautiful garden
It came as you wished

42. More gentle than the breeze
Pouring out its complaint

43. Of one who, in the dark night
The night of passion lies awake

44. And patience has betrayed me
While sleep has fled my eyes
