1. O you who yearn for Najd and its pastures
Granada has become adorned with its valleys

2. Stop at Al-Sabika and look at its courtyard
With its unique dome and towering minaret

3. It has adorned itself with the veil of the river, smiling
As its flowers are its jewelry in its ascendance

4. The eyes of the narcissus flowers gaze softly
Trickling dew as tears down their stems

5. The smile of the rose has burst open
Kissing the cheek of a rosebud in its precincts

6. It is as if the flowers along its edges are a magic
Dirhams, and the gentle breeze collects them

7. And look upon the ponds and rivers surrounding it
Like lovers, its waters flowing gently

8. How many mansions around it pluck flowers
You'd think the flowers had kissed their hands

9. Its pebbles are pearls whose essence has been purified
And the river flows, melted by its brilliance

10. The River of the Milky Way, and the flowers floating on it
Are like the flowers of the stars, if you would compare them

11. More beautiful than the Milky Way, made rich
By a sea of hailstones instead of its pearls

12. The astronomer calls it Ra'i, its viewer
Names that reveal its true meaning

13. The odes of the Hejaz have rivals in Andalusia
Their words matching their meanings

14. For that is Najd, watered by every harmonious
Cloud, giving it life, reviving it

15. With lightning and abundant rains, each smiling
From the horizons, making it radiant

16. And if you wish to see the Valley of Al-Aqeeq, let flow
The red tears of its lover down its channels

17. And Sabika has a crown above its dome
That the pearls of hailstones wish they could adorn

18. For its redness, by God, is clad by it
A ruby atop that crown, raising it high

19. The mansions are like crowned tiaras
With celestial gems in their most splendid finery

20. But they envied Sabika's crown when
They saw its flowers outshine them as jewelry

21. Its constellations outshine those of the horizon
So its shooting stars excel in beauty, nothing equals them

22. Those palaces with splendid façades
That the stars crave, aspiring to their heights

23. By God! The eye that sees the magic
Of that lighthouse, its corners so refined

24. And dawn in the east has shown its tidings
While the shooting stars vie to race in its channels

25. Falling to the west, for magic has smitten them
And dawn has shut its eyelids against them

26. And the lute in the singer's hand, whenever
The warbling of birds stops its song, entices it

27. It produces melodies of magic in its tune
Bewitching minds, captivating them with its beauty

28. Graceful fingers pluck it, you'd think it
Pearls, a light upon its hills

29. A battler's frowning brow is like
An archer, striking hearts dead with it

30. The fresh garden and branches leaning
Seduce souls, bending them with yearning

31. The ponds have not danced with sleeves in delight
Until the singing of birds excites them

32. It has heard the wonders of magic in its artistry
The cooing of doves and their songs enticing it

33. Granada! May the Merciful allow its dwellers
To express the meaning of its songs in their hymns

34. The gentle breeze of its people surpasses
In refinement, a nature from it spreads to them

35. So God perpetuates its days of joy
Its mornings yellow, its nights white

36. And it has tamed every blossoming meadow
When the drought distressed it slightly, it waters it

37. It tells of the Caliph, whenever drought has grasped
The land, his palms give it life with generosity

38. Sustaining the destitute, his virtues
Make them needless of asking, his benevolence enriches them

39. It has clouds that rain without cease
In generosity, nor do its clouds ever draw near it

40. For when its clouds pour down water, it aims
To revive the valleys and plains

41. O you, the source of aid, you are the source of aid in an era
Whose kings would perish, if not for your alliance

42. O people! May God reward you with righteousness
You ruled East and West, caring for it

43. Creatures in all corners of the earth
Are your dependents, you in truth shepherd them

44. You manage every interest of the people
And intend every righteous cause

45. When you desire a land that is barren
God's mercy in irrigating it gives it life

46. O mercy that spread kindness in Andalusia
Without you, the world and all in it would have shaken

47. In your abundant grace its elders have lived
In the shade of your security its young have slept

48. In your long life, its hopeful look to God
For the victory of your kingdom, its caller invokes Him

49. God's ways have accustomed you to the best of them
So people may attain what they wish of their hopes

50. Ask for success and sheathe the sword
And strike the trinity of polytheism, repelling it

51. By God, the virtuous days that persist
With success, as you desire and satisfies you

52. By God, your shining state, it has
As its protector, the God of the Throne

53. Never can enemies attain the battleground
As it flows, with God's armies guarding it

54. While the polytheists are God's swords, annihilating them
You have a way in sincerity that has recognized

55. Good consequences, even to enemies
The dawn did not veil the shooting stars from view

56. Except your guidance for sights to see them
O son of kings, and sons of kings, when

57. Kings are called to obey, responding to them
Sons of victory, kings of mighty victory

58. Who have vastened the people, comforting and entertaining them
They are the lamps lit by God's light

59. Illuminating the religion and the world's affairs
They are the stars, and the horizon of guidance their rising place

60. Triumph to its guide, might to its leader
They are the full moons, perfection never leaves them

61. They are the suns, no darkness can conceal them
Their celestial orbits have decreed they will never fade

62. And commanded firmly against the enemies
And etched their repute on Indian steels

63. And ascribed their heights above their summits
And they bequeathed to you jihad, you its supporter

64. While reward from you satisfies and favors them
How many stands where enemies dread its position

65. And horses race, and the swords' blows terrorize them
Their armor rattles though the day is cloudy

66. And the clouds suggest a coat of mail upon them
To the swords, shooting stars that when they set

67. In the abode, an eye sparkles from its heights
And to the swords, lightning whenever it flashes

68. You see the stars as missiles targeted by them
From a meteor that appeared, dawn chasing it

69. The shooting stars in sky watch it, as it hides them
Except those tied in the forelocks of steeds

70. For they have raised them in power and distinction
Bay that outstripped the lightning of lightning, leaving

71. Only twilight remaining in the sky, signaling them
Or chestnut, its ember blazing in war

72. With sparks from deadly seriousness kindling them
The color of carnelian, carnelian flowing blood

73. From its flanks, from lethal arrows piercing them
Or grayish-black, filling the night's chest, its shoes

74. Stepping over the horizon at daybreak
If shooting stars lose their way at night, adorned by it

75. Its dawn glow guides them with light
Or blond, passing by the blondness of lightning, keeping

76. Only twilight in the air to alert them
Or red, wearing a cheerful humor at night

77. Recognized by the night's progression, heralding it
Camouflaged in resplendent embellishments, wandering in wonder

78. Never missing distinction nor straying
And how many a sword's river, polished smooth

79. Whenever the souls of disbelief sharpen it
Heads flow like beads above its surface

80. And nothing flows but havoc courses them
And withered by the blood of infidels, its drink

81. It reaps conquests, while the palm of victory harvests them
And how many a crescent for a bow, whenever it throbs

82. You see the stars as projectiles targeted by them
O leaders of disbelief! You cannot resolve its arena

83. Except its strong forts shake apart forcefully
O state of victory! Can any attain the states

84. You give life to, then make sleep?
Or attain the early supporters with sustenance

85. And God rewards them with eternity in Paradise
The Caliphate, most lofty of manifestations

86. Has preserved for us a nobility, and God will preserve it
O son of those who in every glory

87. Have prides, and the tongue of time dictates them
Supporters of the best of creations, chosen for his emigration

88. His neighbors at his oasis, most generous to its people
The tolerant religion exalted them in honor

89. Its supporters, through them its climax reached
So at Hunayn, Badr, and Uhud

90. Their prides are found, famed in them
And ask elevated conduct about their stands

91. Their expeditions through it are narrated
Deeds the Merciful immortalized their impact

92. The Quran details for those reciting them
To Him belongs jihad, through which winds blow

93. To the earth's kingdoms, from its diverse edges
With it, the feet make pilgrimage to the Ancient House

94. So Mecca was populated through it, its pastures revived
Good news the world and its inhabitants hear

95. Whenever its supreme name is proclaimed
Your outstanding Caliphate suffices as a source of pride

96. That God supports those who support it
And time has taught its children through experience

97. That God supports those who support it
When you shoot arrows of resolve unfailingly

98. You did not shoot, but providence shot them
Thanks to Him who magnified our talents

99. Though if counted, the count cannot record them
In the near future, you will see holidays arriving

100. With conquests, and the deputation of victory guiding them
And they will attain the highest goal in their tidings

101. For with what pleases you, their clear messages began
So congratulate yourself with what you desire to please you

102. And attain hopes, for fate brings them close
My Master, take it however its eloquence desired

103. Though if appraised, beauty itself would buy them
I sent it wherever souls are sent

104. Rarities spreading glad tidings, realizing their wishes
It came to congratulate you on the Feast of Fast-Breaking in wonder

105. At its beauty, and the tongue of sincerity transports it
Give good news in its face, and good fortune in its hand

106. Sorcery in its words, and pearls in its mouth
If the full moon were adorned with a crown from it for its dome

107. It would not please the pearls of hailstones to jewelry it
And if it were the daughter of my thoughts, its only one

108. Your blessings would have nurtured it in your care
In your meadow of generosity, you have encircled me with kindness

109. Like the necklace encircles a dove, so my rhymes cannot match it
And if I revealed the tongue of time to thank it

110. It would fall short of sufficient thanks
You remain for the religion and world the imam of guidance

111. Conveying the soul to what it hopes of its wishes
And good fortune flows to the hopes it aspires for

112. As long as the stars flow in their courses
